“With the Speed and Idle Alert functionality within the Find'n'Secure solution, we were able to reduce fuel consumption, and ultimately operational costs.”
As an oil company Chevron required to manage its fleet and keep check on all the vehicles going out and coming in the facility. They needed a system in which their managers can approve the trips based on the pre-inspection of the vehicles and assign them to the different drivers. They had twin levels of authorization and required a system which can send them notifications over the email and SMS. Managers can approve the trip via mobile phones and only then the vehicle should be allowed to turn on.
A customized solution was required to be implemented for Chevron in which all the pre-inspection records could be feed down and then managers could plan out the trips. Electronic Journey Management System (EJMS) was required to be implemented with the following facilities:
1. SMS Gateway Integration
2. Turning on and off the vehicle remotely based on permissions.
3. Approval by Managers.
4. Driver login to feed pre-inspection reports.
5. Reports of the EJMS
